This steel hall complex was built for the timber giant Kronostar in Russia. The building complex has the incredible total area of 98,000 m² and the site is used for timber production for European customers. Kronostar is the market leader in the manufacture and distribution of medium density fibreboard.

Using the steel structures from Astron, the huge indoor hall complex was built in just 10 weeks. All previous experience was incorporated in the design for this latest timber production plant. Thanks to the efficient hall concept, 60 million m² of laminate can be produced here annually. The focus of the construction was not only the timber production, a responsible approach to the environment and to natural resources was also given particular attention.
