Whale Museum - an awe-inspiring experience

The museum has the largest exhibition of whales in Europe. The giants of the sea can be admired as large as life since the beginning of 2015. Visiting the museum Whales of Iceland gives the visitors the impression that they are walking through a magical underwater landscape.

The hall is located in Reykjavík’s harbour area. The building was originally intended as a retail store and workshop for car tyres. The customer was very happy with the size and the location of the hall. In order to transform the building into a museum, only a few modifications were necessary. The huge exhibition area has been provided with an energy efficient and cost-effective double roofing system and the technically highly modern LPA900 wall system gives a unique aesthetical appearance. Apart from the huge exhibition hall, there is a cafe and a museum shop in the steel building.
