Eco-designed multi-storey car park
The city of Voiron, France, has decided to build an Astron Mobility multi-storey car park as part of its project to pedestrianize and green the city center. The car park meets parking requirements and fulfils the city's vision for a redesigned urban center focused on improving quality of life, promoting soft mobility and reducing pollution.
Designed by the architect BARBEYER and the Arcadis engineering office, the car park will be built by CHANUT and Astron Mobility teams. Its main feature is to offer a living space combined with a pleasant user experience.
Architecture that blends into the neighbourhood
The architecture blends harmoniously into the neighborhood, with a facade designed like a "forest" with wooden slats distributed in a random rhythm, creating a "landscape filter" that reflects the surrounding park environment. The structure also features planted areas along the façade, helping to integrate it visually into the urban landscape.
An eco-designed multi-storey car park:
In terms of the environment, the multi-storey car park has been designed to ensure that it is energy self-sufficient. It will offer :

# Photovoltaic panels to make the car park self-sufficient in electricity
# Recovery of rainwater for car park maintenance
# The use of natural light to illuminate the car park and limit the need for continuous artificial lighting.
The car park in figures
# 4 floors
# 239 parking spaces for cars
# 8 spaces for motorbikes
# A complete infrastructure for electric vehicles.
# 1,250 m2 of photovoltaic panels
# A mobility area dedicated to users of cycles and scooters, with secure storage areas, the possibility of recharging electric models, and repairs and maintenance for bicycles.
