Mobility hub with recycled steel and container
The district of Musicon, located in the city of Roskilde in Denmark, is a district focusing on art and creativity, and creativity is exactly what you'll see in this new car park.
“This multi-storey parking lot has been a really fun task! Steel is a light and quite flexible material that we can assemble quickly, so we see results from day to day. Råhuset, for example, was completed in just over three months, which is impressive for buildings of this size. Classic concrete car parks often have quite low ceilings to accommodate many cars. But here, together with the developer and architect, we have gone a different way, so there is plenty of space and it’s high space, says Project Director at MT Højgaard, Khaled Ghizzaui.
At the request of the client, we worked hard with the developers and the architect to build with recycled materials from the site and to keep complete track of all the pieces along the way. This allows the building to be dismantled so that individual parts can be given a new life later.
