Why to go to Iran?
At first it’s a market of 80 million of inhabitants. All sectors of the economy need to be developed much further and GDP growth for 2016 is forecasted at +8% (by comparison GDP in Europe is about 1,8%). Last decade Iran was mainly importing goods from Russia and China but the majority of the population is aspiring products from European origin. Some of our Key Accounts want to develop their presence in Iran so this is already a few good reasons to go there.
Beginning of March, Dejan Boskovic (Key Accounts Department) supported by Parviz Ziai (native Iranian) were visiting different local companies as potential partners and some potential final customers. As stated by Dejan: “Iran is somehow since nearly 40 years a standalone functioning market with great growth potential, however midterm opportunity for us is, I believe, mainly to sell buildings with our level of quality and services to foreign investors going to Iran”.
