Milk powder factory
Astron Buildings successfully completed a production building for VILVI Group, one of the largest milk processors in Lithuania.
The building, committed to safety and hygiene, is located in a restricted area, making it a challenging project that required innovative solutions from Astron Buildings.
The VILVI Group wanted to construct an industrial building adjacent to their existing milk powder factory, but the available space was very limited. Other builders had been unable to propose a solution that would fit the site constraints, but Astron Buildings took up to the challenge.
Astron Buildings' team of experienced engineers developed a unique design that allowed the new factory to be built within the available space .They designed a build-to-purpose production unit according to the requirements of the VILVI process, equipment and technology. The building has a clear height of approximately 14 meters, which is higher than the standard for this type of building. This allowed VILVI Group to maintain a clean and safe environment and maximize the space available.
In addition to the structural challenges, Astron Buildings also had to deal with the complex logistics of the site. The existing milk powder factory was still in operation, and the erection team had to work carefully to avoid disrupting the factory's production.
Despite the challenges, Astron Buildings was able to complete the project on time and within budget.
