Personnel & Emergency Exit Doors

Specially designed personnel doors are available for all Astron wall systems. Our doors are preassembled, including frame, door leaf and accessories. It makes the installation very simple. All details and parts are designed to fit perfectly in the Astron façade.

A single or double leaf swing door, which can be used as a personnel door or can be equipped with an anti-panic device for emergency exit doors.

TYPE AND COMPOSITION

Single swing door opening to the outside:

Door frame – steel profile of 1.5 mm thickness, galvanised and powder coated with a light grey primer.
Door leaf – total thickness 65 mm, steel sheets 1 mm, galvanised, powder coated with a light grey primer, lock, high density mineral wool insulation.
The clear width is 1 m. Clear height is 2.084 m.
Supplementary components – handles or knob, lock cylinder and three keys, alu sill profile and joint, peripheral rubber joint, fixing clips and hardware, flashings and weatherproof material, ready to be installed easily and quickly in our facades.
Opening mode – DIN L or DIN R.

Double swing door opening to the outside:

Consisting of a main opening leaf identical to that of the single swing door. The fixed leaf is anchored at top and bottom by a latch. The clear width of the main leaf is 1 m and for the fixed leaf 800 mm. Clear height is 2.084 m.
Opening mode – DIN L or DIN R.

Emergency exit door, single or double leaf opening to the outside, equipped with an anti-panic bar and an outside handle or door knob.

The above single and double swing doors can be equipped with anti-panic bar inside and a handle or a fixed knob outside.
The anti-panic device conforms to DIN 18250, releasing the door by simply pushing the panic bar, even if the door is double locked.
For security reasons, door opening is only possible towards the outside. The cylinder of the lock is accessible from the outside, which allows door opening and re-locking from the exterior.

Mechanical Performance
Frequency of use: 200,000 opening cycles according to DIN 4102T18.

Thermal Performance
By insulating the door frame, the overall thermal insulation of the door is considerably improved.
Thermal insulation of the door leaf: U-value = 1.8 W/m²K

Installation
Preassembled doors, including frame, door leaf and accessories make the installation very simple. All details and parts are designed to fit perfectly in the Astron façade.
· Hinges are equipped with a ball bearing. One with a spring.
· The door leaf must be perfectly plumb. Hinges permit 3D leveling for easy installation. See Astron Technical Information.

Packaging - Marking
Depending on the quantity per order, the doors are delivered bundled or separately packed. Timber and plastic film protections allow for easy handling and storage. Clear marking (reference, item number, packing list…) helps for easy finding on jobsite in correspondence with erection drawings.

Supplementary Information
An optional automatic door closer can be supplied. We recommend this option in order to re-close the building after use of the panic bar and not to damage the facade.
