The "Garage de l'Etoile" in Caen (F): a finely crafted building
The proprietor of the
"Garage de l'Etoile", a Skoda dealer also specialising in up-market cars, wanted
to move to a better location in Caen.
GCI Construction was given the
responsibility to build this new commercial outlet. Not a small challenge! The customer demanded a
turnkey building with just the right kind of internal and external aspect that would meet the
expectations of existing and future customers.Thanks to full-length curtain wall, the large glass
surface and striking curved facades have resulted in a building that is surprisingly light and
airy. The internal luminosity plus meticulous finishing, as well as the sheer size of the display
area, have combined to create just the right kind of distinguished, welcoming atmosphere to reflect
the customer’s corporate image. GCI Construction met the challenge of respecting the customer’s
aesthetic expectations while maintaining a good price/quality ratio. The ASTRON building includes a
1.235 m² repair shop, two showrooms (770 m² dedicated to up-market automobiles and 400 m² where
Skoda models are displayed). This attractive building also contains a mezzanine office.
