New Logistics Hub in Luxembourg
GN Transport's new building in Luxembourg is operational, just a couple of months after the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Étienne Schneider dug the first shovel for the building in the Krakelshaff Economic Zone in Bettembourg.
Mabilux, a well-established steelwork company in Luxembourg and a long-standing partner of Astron, was awarded the contract for this 4,500 m² logistics site on a turnkey basis.
The proximity of the almost 4,500 m² premises to the intermodal terminal will allow GN Logistics to make greater use of multimodal transport. By 2020, the company's goal is to use the combination of rail and road for 40% of its journeys.
This investment project in the logistics sector strengthens the links between Luxembourg and Scandinavia, especially Sweden, where the family group GN Logistics is originated.
