Multimodal Exchange Hub Update
The Multimodal Exchange Hub (PEM) at the Vergèze-Codognan railway station, already presented in a previous news, is rapidly progressing, marking a significant milestone in regional multimodal mobility.
Located in Vergèze (France), a dynamic zone at Montpellier-Nîmes main road, the PEM is perfectly positioned to redefine regional mobility. Serving the SNCF and bus stations, this three-level Multi-Storey Car Park (MSCP), signed by Astron Mobility, will offer enhanced connectivity. Prioritizing accessibility, approximately 14,000 people can easily reach the hub on foot or by bike within 2 minutes, contributing to a seamlessly connected community.
Ecological Features:
The Multi-Storey Car Park (MSCP) will feature a dynamic green façade, planted in the soil, creating an eco-friendly environment. The hub's commitment to green energy extends to its rooftop, which will be equipped with photovoltaic panels capable of generating 671 megawatts annually.
Enhanced Connectivity:
The PEM is designed to elevate regional mobility with 329 parking spaces, electric vehicle charging stations, two elevators for direct station access, and a dedicated bus station. Additionally, secure parking for bicycles enhances the overall accessibility and eco-conscious transportation experience.
Flood-prone zone:
The Multi-Storey Car Park is strategically built in a flood-prone zone, incorporating design and construction methods to ensure durability and safety.
