New sports complex in Russia
Avangard sports complex recently opened in Tarko-Sale, Russia, was awarded “Building of the Month” by the Astron jury. Constructed by CS Investroy, Astron Builder in Moscow, this is the largest ice complex in Yamal and the first building realized within interregional Avangard Hockey Academy project.
Avangard complex constructed under the socio-economic agreement between Gazprom Neft and YaNAO, is the only sports facility in the region with an Olympic-sized ice rink, equipped with modern artificial ice facilities. The new complex is the first branch of the Avangard Hockey Academy established in Omsk by Avangard KHL club. The Academy aims at establishment of a hockey education program for children and teenagers, thus a network of branches will be created in different regions. Similar sports facilities will soon be constructed in towns of Muravlinko and Noyabrsk.
The complex in Tarko-Sale with the total area of 9,000m² consists of three blocks. The first one hosts a universal sports hall with two courts and grandstands with 280 seats, including seats for disabled people.

The second block is for administrative and auxiliary purposes: snack bar, locker rooms for hockey players and facilities for drying sports uniforms, referee offices, display control and central control units, two gyms, weight and aerobics room, as well as a conference room.
