DHL logistics center for electric cars
The new logistics center in Aschersleben is part of DHL's new strategy, aiming at achieving fully climate-neutral transport and at becoming more environmentally friendly in the future. Therefore, the transportation company needs new logistics halls for its electric vehicles. Private investor Stefan Grommek asked Astron Builder PartnerBau GmbH to build this new facility.
The functional logistics hall has a free span of 17 m and is 5.50 m high. The floor area of 780 m² is divided into three areas: 550 m² sorting area, 120 m² loading area and 110 m² office and social space.
For the pent roof, the LPR1000 roof system was used with an Aluzinc coating, which ensures high weather resistance. The 200 mm thick insulation also guarantees very good sound absorption. The sandwich wall panel is lined with light Superpolyester on the inner skin and externally has a professionally looking gray coating.
In the loading area, there are two large sectional doors and two loading ramps that ensure a smooth loading process. An elegant 5 m wide canopy protects the logistics hall in difficult weather conditions.
