LESS EFFORT.
MORE SERVICE LIFE.
Astron buildings are designed to minimise maintenance - for long-term function, safety and efficiency. To ensure that your property remains reliable for years to come, we support you with clear maintenance guidelines, technical advice and practical support. This ensures that your building retains its high performance values in the long term.

REGULAR INSPECTIONS
- for long-lasting safety and function
Astron buildings are designed to require minimal maintenance. Nevertheless, regular inspections remain crucial to ensure full performance in the long term. Our recommendation: a visual inspection by an Astron partner or a qualified specialist company at least once a year.
This involves checking the supporting structure, roof, façade and connections. Coatings, seals, fastenings and wind bracing are checked for tension, corrosion or wear and adjusted or repaired if necessary. Bare or damaged steel areas should be cleaned and re-treated with suitable paint to prevent corrosion. Wind bracing and screw connections must also be tight and secure - a small measure with a big impact on the stability of your building.
In many countries, certain installations such as overhead cranes, monorail cranes or smoke and heat extraction systems (SHEVS) are subject to statutory inspection requirements. Astron supports you in carrying out these inspections correctly and on time - with clear instructions, documents and certified partners.

CARE & MAINTENANCE
- Protection against weathering and ageing
Long-term durability starts with the right material - and the right care. Astron roof and wall panels are equipped with high-quality coatings such as PVDF, Superpolyester or Aluzinc, which are UV-resistant and weatherproof. To maintain this protection in the long term, we recommend simple but regular maintenance:
- Roof inspection
at least once a year to check coatings, screws and seals for damage and to ensure that drainage is functioning properly, including gutter cleaning - Façade maintenance
with a soft brush, mild detergent and plenty of water - never use abrasive cleaners or solvents. The plinth area of the wall panels should always be kept free of soil, grass or moisture to prevent corrosion. - Check the seals and connections,
especially on doors, gates and windows - Corrosion protection
for mechanically damaged areas by repainting with original colours

ADAPTATIONS & EXTENSIONS
- safely planned, precisely executed
Astron buildings are prepared for change - many load-bearing structures offer reserves for later conversions or changes in use. Nevertheless, every additional load must be statically checked and approved.
Whether a photovoltaic system, heating or ventilation system, overhead crane or new openings in the roof and walls - our engineers assess the effects on statics and stability and develop reinforcement solutions that fit unobtrusively into the existing system.
Unauthorised modifications to load-bearing elements (e.g. wind frames, flange braces) can jeopardise the safety of the building. We therefore recommend that changes are always carried out in consultation with your Astron construction partner. Small reinforcements can often be realised with minimal effort and without visual changes.
