REQUIREMENT

Transshipment hall for high volumes of goods, fast processes and future growth

Transalliance needed a flexible industrial hall to cover growing storage and handling capacities in Luxembourg. A building was required that would provide large areas for storage and logistics, enable short loading times and support smooth operational processes. Handling processes were to be accelerated and the flow of goods along European transport axes optimised.

Sustainable solutions were also an integral part of the requirements: energy-efficient building technology, pre-installed charging stations for electric vehicles and a modular concept that allows for future expansions. The goal: an efficient, cost-effective logistics centre that can be adapted in the long term to meet the increasing demands of the industry.

RESULT

20,000 m² handling area with high efficiency and modular expandability

Astron realised a 20,000 m² logistics centre for Transalliance, consisting of a 230 m long and 100 m wide steel hall. The area is divided into 10,000 m² of storage space and 10,000 m² for offices, workshops and charging infrastructure for electric vehicles. With a clear height of 10 m and 20 charging docks, the building enables fast handling processes and efficient utilisation of the space.

The modular steel construction allows for future extensions without interrupting operations. The strategic location on important transport axes, combined with energy-efficient building components, reduces operating costs and improves the carbon footprint in the long term. The logistics centre increases the efficiency of the entire process chain, optimises the flow of goods and provides a solid foundation for Transalliance's sustainable growth.
