Modular logistics hall for flexible processes and long-term operational reliability

The new hall for GN Transport was to combine several logistics functions in one building: Storage, handling and distribution - with optimal connections to road and rail. A solution was required that supports dynamic market requirements and can be expanded without interrupting ongoing operations. At the same time, the focus was on low operating costs, energy efficiency and a durable, low-maintenance design.

The modular design was a key criterion, as GN Transport needed a structure that would allow for both short-term adjustments and strategic growth. The goal: a building that speeds up processes, conserves resources and is well prepared for future requirements.

RESULT

4,500 m² modular logistics hall with clear processes and expansion option

Astron realised a 4,500 m² logistics hall in a modular steel construction that offers GN Transport maximum flexibility. The column-free construction facilitates the flow of goods and creates free space for storage and handling. Thanks to the modular structure, additional hall areas can be quickly added or reorganised - without interfering with existing processes.

The energy-efficient building envelope, modern LED technology and high-quality steel frames minimise operating costs and sustainably reduce the carbon footprint. Together with Astron's partner Mabilux, a turnkey, architecturally clear and economical logistics building was created that optimally combines efficiency, sustainability and expandability. GN Transport now has a hall that is both optimised for current requirements and offers sufficient potential for future growth.
