REQUIREMENT
Indoor tennis centre with optimal playing conditions
For the private operator in Suchdol nad Odrou, an indoor tennis centre was to be built that combined high sporting standards, economical operation and architectural clarity. The requirements included column-free playing surfaces, sufficient hall heights and uniform lighting to ensure consistent playing conditions. At the same time, the hall had to be flexible in its use and be able to accommodate other sports in addition to tennis.
Another focus was on comfort for players and visitors as well as a sustainable energy concept. The hall had to enable efficient heating, be well insulated and remain cost-effective to operate in the long term - while also offering a high-quality user experience and a contemporary appearance.
RESULT
Flexible sports hall with well thought-out space and roof concept
Astron realised a 1,800 m² indoor tennis hall with a clear span of 37 m, a building length of 47 m and an arched roof. With a height of over 10 metres at the apex and variable roof pitches of between 20 and 42%, the result is optimal spatial conditions for dynamic play without disruptive fixtures.
In addition to two tennis courts, a badminton court has also been integrated. Changing rooms, bar and spectator areas extend the utilisation concept and increase the attractiveness of the facility. Generous glass elements provide a view of the court, while the high-quality insulation ensures pleasant temperatures and low noise levels.
The combination of modular system construction, precise prefabrication and an efficient building envelope creates a long-lasting indoor tennis centre with a high degree of flexibility of use, sustainable operation and clear architectural lines.
BUILDING AN INDOOR TENNIS CENTRE WITH SYSTEM
If you want to build an indoor tennis centre, you need a solution that reliably combines sporting requirements and economic efficiency. Column-free playing surfaces, sufficient hall heights and uniform lighting are crucial for playing comfort and safety. Astron develops indoor tennis centres using system construction that is precisely tailored to these requirements.
Large spans without intermediate supports enable flexible court concepts and multiple uses. Sophisticated roof geometries, high-quality insulation and durable materials ensure low operating costs and short construction times. Industrial prefabrication guarantees precise assembly and high quality workmanship.
Whether for clubs, private operators or sports centres: Astron builds tennis halls that can be adapted to new requirements, remain economical in the long term and offer optimum conditions for training and competitions.
