REQUIREMENT

Functional sports hall for a club & community

The sports club TV Oberstedten 1887 e.V. needed a new sports hall that would combine different uses: club and school sports, fitness and gymnastics programmes as well as events for the community. A functional, barrier-free building with high energy efficiency and clear architectural quality was required.

In addition to sports use, administrative, social and ancillary rooms were also to be integrated. The hall had to be economical to run, have low maintenance costs in the long term and be flexible enough to be adapted to future requirements.

RESULT

Versatile multi-purpose hall with a clear structure

A sports and multi-purpose hall measuring around 780 m² was built in Oberursel, which is divided into a 300 m² gym, a separate gymnastics room and office, social and sanitary rooms. Barrier-free access via a lift ensures unrestricted use for all age groups.

The hall is technically impressive thanks to the Astron LMR-LPS roof system with 260 mm insulation, which enables energy-efficient operation. The robust façade made of 37.5 cm thick pumice concrete ensures durability and low maintenance. The concept is complemented by a conservatory solution that utilises daylight and improves the indoor climate.

The result is a functional, economical sports hall that combines club life, school sports and community events under one roof.

BUILDING SPORTS HALLS FOR CLUBS AND COMMUNITIES

If you want to build a sports hall for a club or community, you need flexible space concepts, a cost-effective construction method and low operating costs. Astron develops multi-purpose and club sports halls that enable training, school sports and events in equal measure - efficient, durable and adaptable.

Column-free playing surfaces, integrated side rooms and energy-efficient roof and wall systems create optimum conditions for day-to-day operations. The system construction method allows construction times to be shortened and costs to be precisely planned. At the same time, the design enables future extensions or conversions whenever required.

Astron realises sports halls that promote community spirit, can be used in a variety of ways and remain economical in the long term - the ideal solution for clubs, local authorities and public bodies.
