Football hall for year-round training

An indoor training hall was to be built for a football club that would allow training to take place all year round, regardless of the weather. The key requirements were a large, column-free playing surface, high ceiling height and a structure that would remain stable even under intensive use. At the same time, a very short construction time was required in order to be able to start training operations quickly.

The hall had to offer protection from the weather, ensure even lighting conditions and be economical to operate. A robust building envelope and a low-maintenance roof system were crucial to ensure long-term reliability of use.

Column-free football hall for efficient training operations

Astron realised a covered football training hall with a free span of 72 m, a length of 100 m and a height of 18.5 m. The column-free construction enables unrestricted playing surfaces and flexible training scenarios for team and technical training.

The polygonal roof system with LPR surface layer reliably protects the pitch from wind and weather. Thanks to the precise system construction method, the project was realised in just three months. The result is a robust, durable football hall that offers the club comfortable training conditions all year round while remaining economical to operate.
