REQUIREMENT
Cooling and production processes with precise temperature specifications
JAGO Foods needed a large-scale, temperature-controlled production hall to reliably meet the increasing demand for frozen goods. The new system had to provide different cooling zones, ensure stable temperatures and enable an efficient material flow between storage, order picking and dispatch.
The particular challenge lay in the combination of highly insulated areas, variable temperature levels down to -25 °C and rapid realisation in order to ensure security of supply on the market. At the same time, a modern office area was to be integrated without interrupting the process flows. Energy-efficient components, robust solutions for the refrigeration technology and clear routes for lorry loading and internal logistics were also important.
RESULT
13,200 m² cold store with four separate temperature zones
Astron realised a 13,200 m² refrigeration and production hall with four separate temperature zones that are precisely tailored to the requirements of the deep-freeze segment. The highly insulated building envelope enables a constantly controlled indoor climate and supports energy efficiency despite extreme temperature ranges.
The integrated loading zone combines production, storage and dispatch to form a continuous logistics process, while the adjoining office area creates modern working conditions. The short construction time and precise realisation enabled the company to react flexibly to market requirements and thus ensure the long-term availability of goods.
BUILDING TEMPERATURE-CONTROLLED PRODUCTION HALLS - COOLING CONCEPTS, ENERGY EFFICIENCY, FOOD PROCESSING
Temperature-controlled production halls require precise refrigeration technology, energy-efficient building envelopes and clear material flows. Astron develops cold stores that combine multiple temperature levels, robust insulation and flexible logistics concepts. Whether frozen food, food processing or climate-controlled storage - modern cold stores combine high energy efficiency with fast processes and economical utilisation.
Modular construction methods and fast assembly processes result in hall-specific solutions that enable both short-term production peaks and long-term expansions. Companies benefit from reliable temperature control, stable processes and permanently low operating costs.
