REQUIREMENT
Large production and manufacturing hall with integrated warehouse logistics and high efficiency
Guardian Glass needed a large production hall that would enable sophisticated manufacturing processes, high furnace outputs and a consistently efficient material flow. Increasing international demand made a significant expansion of capacity necessary. The requirement was for a building that closely links production zones and warehouse logistics, allows short distances between production and dispatch and can also be operated in an energy-efficient manner.
The key requirements were large dimensions for modern float and coating lines, a precise structural design for permanent loads, reliable processes despite high performance requirements, clear expansion options for future growth and rapid implementation to meet tight market deadlines.
RESULT
71,000 m² production hall with efficient warehouse connection and high production output
Astron realised a 71,000 m² production hall that combines production, logistics and storage in a high-performance building complex. The hall provides space for two float lines with a capacity of 1,825 tonnes of glass per day - a clear indication of the size and efficiency of the site.
The design enables short internal distances, clear material flows and high production speeds. Energy-optimised furnace technology and modern building components reduce consumption and support sustainable operating processes. Thanks to flexible expansion options, the building can accommodate future increases in production without interrupting ongoing operations.
Precise planning, high-quality execution and rapid realisation have created a future-proof production site that reliably supplies international markets and ensures long-term competitiveness.
BUILDING A PRODUCTION HALL WITH WAREHOUSE CONNECTION - EFFICIENCY, MATERIAL FLOW, INDUSTRY 4.0
Production halls for the glass industry require large spans, stable supporting structures and optimised internal processes. Astron plans and realises industrial halls with integrated warehouse logistics, short distances and energy-efficient building elements. Modular systems enable production areas, warehouses and dispatch zones to be precisely combined and flexibly expanded.
For sectors such as glass production, metal processing or the high-volume industry, a production hall with warehouse connection offers high efficiency, fast material flows and reliable process stability. Modern insulation and roof systems reduce operating costs, while digital planning ensures rapid realisation. The result is a building that can support demanding production loads while remaining economical in the long term.
