REQUIREMENT
Sustainable production plant for increasing demand and efficient processes
Geberit needed a modern, energy-efficient production hall for sanitary technology at its Ruše site in order to meet the growing demand in the European market. The aim was to create a building concept that combines production, storage and administration and can be operated entirely without fossil fuels. At the same time, the new production hall needed to be flexibly expandable, enable low operating costs and be designed for future production processes.
The requirements included a spacious production area, a functional logistics structure, modern office space and an energy concept that utilises waste heat, generates cooling efficiently and reduces water consumption. In addition to technical performance, sustainability, cost-effectiveness and long-term future security were at the centre of the planning.
RESULT
Production and logistics areas with an innovative energy concept
Astron realised an overall project for Geberit consisting of an 8,400 m² production area, a 5,000 m² storage area and 2,260 m² of modern office space. The centrepiece is a completely fossil-free energy concept: waste heat from machinery is used for heating, groundwater is used for cooling and rainwater is treated for sanitary use. The energy-efficient production hall therefore fulfils high ecological standards and ensures economical operation.
The design was planned in such a way that extensions of up to 7,000 m² are easily possible. This means that the facility is prepared for future growth and offers a high degree of flexibility. Precise execution, durable construction elements and a clearly structured functional layout combine efficiency, sustainability and architectural quality to create a long-term solution.
BUILDING A PRODUCTION HALL - SUSTAINABLE AND FUTURE-PROOF
Anyone who wants to build an energy-efficient production hall benefits from solutions that combine both ecological and economic factors. Low operating costs, efficient material flows and a stable, expandable building structure play a central role, especially in sanitary engineering. Astron plans and realises production halls that impress with energy-optimised roof and wall solutions, flexible floor plans and intelligent building services systems. Fossil-free energy concepts, heat recovery, efficient cooling and sustainable water use help to minimise the total cost of ownership in the long term.
With prefabricated system components, short construction times and high precision, a production hall is created that fulfils current production requirements and is also geared towards future developments. For sanitary technology companies, this means maximum operational reliability, efficiency and a clear commitment to sustainable construction.
Astron offers consulting, planning and realisation from a single source - for energy-efficient production halls that are economically convincing in the long term.
