REQUIREMENT

Additional production capacities with flexible processes

KROSS needed additional production space to meet the high demand for bicycles and e-bikes. The aim was to integrate modern manufacturing processes, automate workflows and expand production without disrupting ongoing operations at the site. The new hall was to offer flexible process zones, enable short distances in the material flow and allow for subsequent expansion without interrupting production.

An economical building envelope, large window areas for natural light, efficient technical areas and sufficient free space for different assembly steps were also important. The hall had to offer resilient floor structures, ergonomic work areas and a clear connection to existing logistics structures.

7,500 m² production hall with modern production equipment

Astron realised a 7,500 m² production hall that significantly expands KROSS's capacities. The building enables the integration of modern automation and digitalisation processes and can be flexibly adapted to new production processes. The hall type creates optimal conditions for series assembly, material logistics and test-related processes in the area of bicycle and e-bike production.

The modular design allows for future extensions, while energy-efficient roof and wall systems support permanently low operating costs. The clear layout and proximity to existing production areas have created an efficient site that will secure the company's long-term growth.
