Automotive production with strict time and process specifications

Autoliv needed a modern automotive production hall to meet the increasing demands of the international vehicle industry. The aim was to combine production, storage and office space in a high-performance building complex while ensuring short distances and efficient processes. The hall had to fulfil high quality standards, remain flexible for future adaptations and at the same time be completed in an extremely short construction period.

The tight time frame was particularly challenging: Within just a few months, a functional building had to be created that would enable precise coordination between production, logistics and administration. At the same time, demanding technical specifications had to be met - including high daily outputs, resilient floor structures, suitable lighting zones and an economical building envelope.

RESULT

20,000 m² production hall with integrated logistics solution

Astron realised a 20,000 m² automotive production hall with an integrated storage area and multi-storey office wing in just eight months. The building combines a functional layout with a clear architectural design: horizontal panels in ivory and gentian blue as well as generous window areas ensure a bright, modern appearance and support ergonomic working conditions.

The efficient construction method enabled the building to be handed over on schedule - despite the high level of complexity and demanding technical requirements. The hall offers short material routes, flexible expansion options and energy-efficient construction elements that reduce operating costs in the long term.
This project has created an efficient site for the production of safety-relevant components that combines cost-effectiveness, speed and architectural quality.
