REQUIREMENT

Hotel construction with short construction times and high architectural quality

A six-storey building with 240 rooms, restaurant, fitness area and conference rooms was to be realised for a new Hilton hotel in the north of Milan. The key requirements were short construction times, cost certainty and maximum flexibility in the floor plan design. At the same time, the construction had to meet high architectural standards and fulfil the seismic requirements of the region.

A building concept was required that would enable efficient processes, create a warm, inviting atmosphere and integrate into the urban environment. In addition to comfort and design, long-term cost-effectiveness also played a decisive role.

RESULT

Multi-storey hotel building with efficient steel construction

Astron realised a six-storey hotel building in steel construction with a total area of over 2,700 m². The project demonstrates how aesthetically pleasing architecture and efficient construction can go hand in hand.

The steel structure enabled a free span of 12.50 metres, which reduced the number of foundations and made the interior design much more flexible. Thanks to the Astron Multi-Storey Building System, the load-bearing structure was erected in just twelve weeks - proof of the high efficiency and precision of this construction method.

Warm wood and glass elements on the façade emphasise the elegant design and create an inviting atmosphere. The sustainable construction method with recyclable steel, energy-efficient insulation and modern building technology ensures low operating costs and a long service life.

With its clear design language, generous glass surfaces and high-quality materials, the DoubleTree by Hilton Milan embodies the perfect combination of flexibility, sustainability and timeless architecture - a prime example of modern hotel construction with a steel structure.

BUILDING A HOTEL - MULTI-STOREY STEEL STRUCTURE FOR URBAN CONCEPTS

Building a hotel means harmonising architecture, functionality and cost-effectiveness. Astron realises hotels in steel construction that offer short construction times, a high degree of design freedom and reliable statics. Multi-storey steel constructions enable flexible floor plans, reduce foundation costs and are particularly suitable for urban locations with high demands on efficiency and planning reliability.

Sustainable materials, energy-efficient building envelopes and modern building services reduce operating costs in the long term. Modular systems allow adaptations to different hotel concepts - from business hotels to design hotels. This results in hotel buildings that are functionally convincing, architecturally impressive and can be operated economically in the long term.
