Xavier Bettel meets Astron in Paris
The exhibition World Efficiency Solution was held in Paris as premier international meeting to promote low carbon and resource efficient solutions in all areas of the economy.
20,000 participants and 98 countries, including representatives of government agencies, entrepreneurs, and decision-makers were gathered to discuss, exchange experiences and develop solutions.
Astron took part in the event at the Luxembourg Pavilion and welcomed several visitors from global groups, micro businesses, and small and medium sized companies. Xavier Bettel, Prime Minister of Luxembourg, who participated in the “One Planet Summit à Paris” also met our team.
This was a good occasion for René Oly, Innovation and Method Manager, R&D and Christophe Duriez, Responsable des ventes France, to talk to Xavier Bettel about the Astron optimisation service based on the holistic energy performance design for industrial buildings, and to present the new circular economy solution for car parks to him.
In fact, the circular economy solution is an attractive economic and ecologic alternative that Astron has already started exploring today with dismountable car parks suitable for upcycling and re-use. The Astron car parks are made of steel. In a circular approach, the customer no longer buys the building but only rents parking spaces. This solution implies a complete dismountability of the structure and slab elements as well as a re-usage in further life cycles. The materials remain the property of the fabricator or the investor. The environmental impact and in particular the carbon footprint are considerably reduced. The economic gain potential is very interesting for long-term investments.
Several media were also present to document, comment on and publicize the event.
