Sustainable construction & circular economy
Claude Turmes, Luxembourg's Minister for Energy and Minister for Spatial Planning recently visited Astron Diekirch headquarters to discuss actual topics from the building sector. He and Paul Schosseler, Director for sustainable construction and circular economy at the Ministry for Spatial Planning, were received by Gil Briand, CEO of the Briand Group, Bernard Schmitz, Sales & Marketing Director, and René Oly, Innovation and Method Manager.
During the visit, the future of car park building solutions as part of smart mobility was discussed on basis of the Bissen demountable and flexible car park project. Another essential point of discussion were circular economy concepts and the advantages of the Luxembourg ecosystem to drive the evolution and innovations in this field. The final subject was the planned new law for PV readiness of all buildings and the refurbishment of buildings with PV installations. The Minister and Director emphasized the importance of this law, which will require new buildings to be prepared to be equipped with photovoltaic installations.
Overall, the meeting was productive and informative both concerning already achieved solutions as well as on future perspectives.
