Ready For the Future
The new headquarters of Voyages Josy Clement are located in Junglinster, Luxembourg. In total, just over 8.5 million euros were invested. The family business has a long history.
Voyages Josy Clement was founded in 1890 and is today one of the oldest bus companies in the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg. The Clement family originally worked in stone construction and it was for the transport required for this business that they owned horses and carts. Recognising the high demand, the company had the idea of buying a horse-drawn carriage and offering transportation to passengers at Lorentzweiler station. Carriages were used until 1923, then replaced by motorized vehicles. Success was always there.
Since that time, the company has continued to grow and has developed even more over the last 30 years. The Bourglinster premises were, therefore, no longer able to accommodate the company’s fleet, which currently includes 40 vehicles covering a whole range: luxury coaches to smaller minibuses, and modern long-distance coaches or low-floor buses.
The new Astron building now includes the workshop, the bus depot, the bus washing system and the administration part all in one place.
The Astron buildings meets all the sustainability standards requested by the customer: Green roof for the administration building and photovoltaic panels for the depot. The premises are also equipped with heat pumps, solar thermal systems and rain harvesting ponds to increase the water-storage capacity to be used in particular for the bus washing system.
A building realised by our long-term Builder partner Scholtes et Brauch SA.
