Astron actively cooperates on the development of the European technical norms called Eurocodes which are essential for the design of steel structures. This cooperation is performed through the membership in the technical committees based on the national nomination by ILNAS Luxembourg. This way Astron secures that its product is designed according to the latest achievements of the technical development.

An example of this ongoing activity are two publications associated with the cold formed Z purlins.

These publications were used as the background of the new amendment to the EN 1993-1-3 devoted to the cold-formed structures, which was approved by the CEN/TC250/SC3 committee on its March meeting in Stockholm. Result of this development will be presented also on the SDSS 2019 conference in Prague in September.
