Dismantling, Construction, New Building
Kraus Stahlhandel GmbH produces and supplies prefabricated reinforcement elements for the precast concrete industry. The family-run company was founded in 1988 and had been located in Cologne-Marsdorf, Germany, since 1996. The move to Viersen, Germany, followed in 2022.
The special feature of the new location is that the production hall was moved from Cologne-Marsdorf to Viersen and rebuilt there. In addition, a new 7,500 m2 steel hall including an administration area was built.
The new building has a span of 30 m without intermediate supports and several cranes are installed inside. The LPR roof system is convincing in terms of thermal insulation, has the best sound insulation properties, is economical and easy to install. The LPA wall system consists of cold-formed trapezoidal steel profiles and is also a functional and durable solution that was already installed in the existing hall. Due to the good experiences and the pleasant acoustics in the production, the Kraus company wanted the LPA wall system to be installed in the new building as well.
Wilhelm Bouhs GmbH, a long-standing Astron building partner, realized the dismantling, construction and new building of the two production halls for Kraus Stahlhandel GmbH on a turnkey basis.
