Assembling Phase of the 30,000 m² project in Algeria for the Algerian Mazouz Group is running smoothly.
Excellent jobsite news: the assembling phase of the 30,000 m² project in Algeria for the Algerian Mazouz Group is running smoothly.
For such a complex project, more than 15 people in our engineering department from 4 engineering teams are working in parallel using BIM (Building Information Modeling). Astron is designing, manufacturing and assembling the complete building structures of the complex that consists of 20 single-storey and multi-storey buildings.
Thanks to BIM we could coordinate buildings to fit the design criteria and BIM also helped to identify areas which may require modification or re-design. BIM also made it possible for our teams to verify interior conditions, such as equipment location and to coordinate with other disciplines in order to ensure the success of the erection and make the project more time-effective.
The complex is being erected at the moment and the machinery is being installed. As you can see on the above pictures, everything is running according to plan, every single pipe, silo or machine fits perfectly!
Luc Michel, Project Manager, stated: “For a first project in Algeria, an industrial world with very complex buildings and with many people from different teams involved, it is very satisfying to see onsite erection going so well!”
