
New indoor tennis hall
The town of Náchod in Czech Republic has completed the modernization of its tennis complex with a new indoor tennis hall that provides year-round training and competition space for local tennis clubs.
The tennis hall is a steel frame structure measuring 39 × 56 m, with a ridge height of 10.5 m. It houses three courts with artificial surfaces, which can also be used for badminton or foot tennis. The facility is heated, fully barrier-free, and equipped with energy-efficient LED lighting suitable for competitive matches.
The project included a full renovation of the tennis complex. Three of the original clay courts were incorporated into the hall. Two new outdoor courts were built with artificial surfaces. The upgrades included renovated changing rooms and sanitary facilities, improved drainage and water connections, new fencing, and landscaping.
The total project cost was over CZK 46 million. Mayor Jan Birke stated: "Náchod has long needed modern sports facilities that could be used all year round, and I am glad that we have managed to bring this project to a successful conclusion. The new tennis hall and modernized complex that offers high-quality conditions not only for tennis clubs and sports clubs, but also for the general public. “
