Modern Workshop With Large Span
Since 1977, Oppermann & Fuss GmbH has been renting out high-quality processing machines for a wide variety of building materials. Consulting, sales, and rental of powerful crushing and screening plants are coordinated from the headquarters in Quickborn.
The company location was extended by a new and modern workshop. The 1,134 m² building was designed by Astron's long-standing Builder Der Hallenbauer GmbH from Schwarzenbek, Germany. At the customer's request, a workshop was built especially for the repair and maintenance of crushing and screening plants, which was handed over to the client ready for use after a construction period of six months. The assembly of the Astron steel workshop took only eight weeks.
The workshop has a clear span of 27 m without intermediate supports. This large span facilitates the interior layout and allows unrestricted maneuvering of the equipment. Two 10 t cranes are installed in the workshop. On the roof, the LPR roof system was used with 120 mm insulation. It provides the perfect basis for the planned installation of a photovoltaic system. The hall walls are clad with an Astron Arctic Wall consisting of PA panels with 240 mm insulation and an interior wall cladding.
A special feature of the building is that it is designed for tracked vehicles up to 60 to load. It also has a maintenance pit. As the steel hall is located in a water protection area, the floor had to be specially sealed to prevent liquids from seeping into the subsoil during vehicle maintenance and repair.
