Football Training Center
This football training center was built for the football academy in Debrecen (Hungary) and can be used 365 days a year by all age-groups of young footballers. The building has 61 m free span, with a LMR600 double-skin roof with 200 mm insulation. For better sound damping, LPG acoustic panel have been assembled inside. The facades have been designed with 100 mm sandwich panels in vertical setting. The building was constructed by the Astron Builder Altevrex Kft.
This 4,300 m² structure incurred an expense of 2.8 million Euro. At the ceremonial inauguration, László Papp, mayor of Debrecen, pointed out that football is one of the most important branches of sporting-life in Debrecen. Now, 300 football students started using the newly built indoor pitch. The Debrecen Football Academy (DLA) makes now all the planning of the training sessions easier. No matter if it's snowing or raining, the weather has no effect on the workouts. The project included covering the existing football field in order to provide training conditions in winter.
Tünde Szabó, state secretary for sporting policy, noted: ’’Debrecen is one of the strongholds of football in Hungary, where the experts have been turning out young footballers into quality players. The Debrecen soccer club DVSC is home for an increasing number of home-grown players."
