10-storey shopping mall
This 10-storey shopping mall in Mongolia on 12,700 m² was a real challenge:
- It is a 10-storey building (including basement) in a region with very high seismic load
- Due to the furniture displays, high loads on the floors were considered
- The basement is also realised with the Astron structure
- For the first time, the Arctic Wall system was selected on the entire height of the building!
ULEMJ, authorized Astron Builder in Mongolia took up the challenge. According to them, this Astron project is very popular among local dwellers and the tower creates a central point for Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia. First, due to the speed of construction – it took four months to finish the primary and secondary framing. Secondly, due to the installation of ALUCOBOND decorative panels on the walls. These panels shine in the sun and depending on the light, the lustrous façade in warm, neutral tones changes colour subtly.
