ISO 9001 - Systematic quality management
Astron fulfils the international ISO 9001 standard for quality management. It ensures that all processes are subject to a continuous improvement process. Compliance is regularly audited by Bureau Veritas.
ETA / European Technical Assessment
The European Technical Assessment (ETA) confirms the quality and performance of our products through independent tests and expert reports - including on load-bearing capacity, acoustic characteristics and material properties. All components are subject to particularly stringent quality control, which is regularly checked and documented as part of external audits. Thanks to improved design procedures, Astron buildings not only fulfil European standards, but exceed them - for demonstrably higher safety and long-term reliability.
CE marking and DIN EN 1090-2
The CE marking confirms that our steel structures fulfil all European requirements for safety, health protection and environmental protection. It is based on the DIN EN 1090-2 standard, which only permits the sale of steel structures with proven conformity. For Astron, this quality mark is far more than just an obligation - it stands for proven safety, transparency and competitive strength. This underlines our claim to realise every building to the highest technical and quality standards.
EPD / Environmental Product Declarations
Independently verified Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) are available for numerous Astron products. They document the environmental impacts of our products in accordance with recognised international standards and provide a reliable basis for sustainable construction projects. EPDs support life cycle assessments (LCA) and green building certification schemes such as DGNB, LEED and BREEAM. The EPDs are published by the Institute for Construction and Environment (IBU).
CERTIFIED WELDING PROCESSES
- proven quality (up to EXC 3)
Our welding processes are audited and certified annually by independent test centers. As a so-called "special process", welding is subject to particularly high requirements as it has a significant influence on the safety, load-bearing capacity and durability of the entire steel structure.
We ensure consistently high quality through standardised and continuously monitored production processes. All welding work is carried out in accordance with applicable standards and is fully documented. This reduces risks, minimises rework and ensures long-term reliability.
External certification confirms the efficiency of our quality management and guarantees reproducible results - from the first component to the final assembly.
