After just nine months of construction, a supermarket with a footprint of approximately 1,800 m² has opened near Leipzig, Germany. From the initial planning to the final steel structure, every detail was meticulously designed to create a bright, welcoming atmosphere that enhances the shopping experience. Abundant natural light, a clean architectural layout, and a contemporary design all contribute to efficiency and customer comfort, because successful retail starts with well-presented goods in a pleasant environment.
A key design feature is the 28.60 m clear span, allowing for wide aisles and large shelving areas that support a customer-friendly layout and attractive product presentation. The building’s architecture stands out with its clean lines, high-quality materials, and generous glass surfaces, resulting in an open and inviting space.
A particular highlight of the building is the use of sandwich panels made from green steel, making a real contribution to environmental protection and underscoring the client’s commitment to sustainable construction.
The project was carried out by A.M. Gewerbe- und Industriebau GmbH, a trusted and experienced Astron Building Partner known for its expertise in commercial construction. Under the leadership of Andreas Müsker, the company played a key role in the successful delivery of this forward-thinking retail facility.
