In the Czech town of Kojetín, a modern multifunctional hall has been built that can be used for sports all year round. The building was realised using the tried-and-tested Astron steel construction system and combines architectural efficiency with maximum adaptability - a key feature of the Astron construction method.
From November to March, the hall is used as an ice sports arena. In the summer months, a special Stilmat floor replaces the ice surface.
Mayor Leoš Ptáček is delighted:
There is an artificial surface under the ice that is suitable for all sports that are played with trainers, such as hockey, football or volleyball. The space can also be used for inline skating.
The city invested around CZK 100 million in the new arena, creating an attractive sports centre for clubs, schools and recreational athletes. In addition to the arena itself, changing rooms, sanitary facilities, a skate hire centre, areas for ice maintenance and a reception area with snacks and seating provide a holistic user experience.
Astron's steel construction was used to realise a solution that combines functionality, economy and design. As with all projects, Astron offers all services from a single source - from consulting and planning to production and turnkey realisation.
