Eco-Circular Car Park

Steel building: Construction recyclable in line with the circular economy

1 February 2025

The first building in Luxembourg to be planned and constructed entirely in the spirit of the circular economy was constructed at the Innovation Campus in Bissen.

# This first Eco-Circular Car Park features

500 parking spaces for cars and 9 spaces for motorcycles,

- 6 modular floors,
- Dimensions of 75 meters in length and 32 meters in width.

# Eco-Circular Car Park Design

The structure is fully modular, allowing it to be demounted, partially or entirely, and reassembled for use as a car park or even repurposed as an office building! This is an example of circularity—designing with a new approach that enables unlimited reuse of our planet's limited resources.

# Circularity Index of 78%

This car park is a model of circular construction with a circularity index of 78%. This helps reduce waste, saves resources, and allows the building to be adapted or moved as needed. Every part of the structure is made to last and be used again. The project is already winning praise and awards, including the Trophées Bâtiments Circulaires 2024 in Paris, organized by Construction21.

Materials Registered with Madaster

The materials used in this car park are registered with Madaster, an international material database. This makes it easier to track and reuse materials in the future, supporting the circular economy and reducing waste.
