The first steel columns are now in place, marking the start of construction on a new indoor padel hall in Espelkamp. Built directly next to the existing tennis hall, the new facility will expand a sports complex that continues to grow alongside the rising popularity of padel.
The padel hall follows the outstanding success of the existing padel courts, which are consistently fully booked. To meet increasing demand, TV Espelkamp is creating additional year-round playing capacity with a new 1,470 m² indoor hall featuring four panorama courts.
Operated under the PADEL OWL brand, the new indoor padel hall is designed to offer an exceptional playing experience. Heated courts, large panoramic glazing and energy-efficient LED lighting will create ideal conditions for training, recreational matches and tournaments. A welcoming lounge and service area will further enhance the experience for players and visitors alike.
The project is being delivered in partnership with the regional Astron builder LH Lübbe Hallen-Systeme GmbH. Located directly beside the existing Astron-built tennis hall, the new padel hall will bring tennis and padel together in one modern sports destination. Scheduled to open in late summer 2026, it will help meet growing demand while strengthening Espelkamp's position as one of the region's leading centres for racket sports.
