Car Park in Brest

New hospital building – steel construction from a single source

1 May 2025

This new multi-storey car park in Brest, France, is an excellent example of how Astron Mobility designs, produces and builds car parks for hospitals. The building is functional, sustainable and designed for the comfort of its users. Built in collaboration with ABA Workshop and Opusia and operated by Q-Park France, the car park offers 1,560 new parking spaces. This increases the total capacity of the hospital to almost 3,000 spaces. At the same time, the new car park provides easy access to tram stops and access routes throughout the hospital.

# Tailor-made design: With a clear span of 16 metres, the structure offers wide, open spaces without disruptive columns, making parking safer, faster and easier.
# Fast, efficient construction: Thanks to Astron's prefabricated steel system, the project was built quickly and on time, without even minimal disruption to hospital operations.
# Optimised traffic flow: Special attention was paid to vehicle and pedestrian traffic flow to ensure smooth and safe access to the hospital and public transport.
# Sustainability first: Solar panels and a green roof reduce environmental impact and generate clean energy.
# User-friendly experience: Warm façade colours, natural light, clear signage and a well thought-out room layout create a calm, welcoming space that helps patients, visitors and staff to de-stress.

This project is a great example of how good design, fast construction and environmentally friendly solutions can fulfil the requirements of a modern hospital.
