How it all began
Some stories begin with a vision - and with people who have the courage to try something new. Ours goes back to 1920, when the parent company "Commercial Shearing and Stamping" was founded in the USA - a pioneer in the processing of steel. Decades later, one of their prefabricated buildings came to Luxembourg. It was erected in record time in Diekirch in 1962 - a building that laid the foundation for Astron. The speed and efficiency of this new construction method were immediately convincing, and four dedicated pioneers recognised the opportunity: in 1965, they founded their own company to further develop this principle in Europe. This is how Astron was born - with the idea of building industrial buildings faster, lighter and more intelligently.

The Briand Group is a family-run company with 2,500 employees and an annual turnover of €500 million. As one of the leading players in the French construction industry, Briand is present throughout Europe with 45 subsidiaries and 17 plants.
