Multi-storey building Castellón -Spain - Design Build Multi-Storey Building - Office Building – Castellón -Spain

Modern architecture presents a technical challenge for ASTRON’s multi-storey building procedure. Real estate company, Jardines de Castalia, was established in Castellón (Spain) after developing two ASTRON buildings. The company subsequently decided to build its headquarters on the same site and selected an ASTRON multi-storey building for this purpose. The architect has created a striking yet harmonious combination of volumes on four levels with the dramatic use of overhangs and terraces plus a special feature of parallel supporting pipe columns. All the expertise and know-how of the ASTRON MSB team and Builder Rubrica Naves Metàlicas were needed to design and construct this complex building. The changes in levels and overhangs of up to 2.37 m presented a particular challenge that was solved, in part at least, by a special design approach to the wind bracing of the structure. The 4.500 m² building is occupied by Jardines’ headquarters, a restaurant that can accommodate 400 people and an underground car park. Offices are also rented to several local companies as well as to ASTRON Builder Rubrica Naves Metàlicas.
