An architectural building for an industrial measuring laboratorySome ten years ago, Paul Allard decided to create his own company, specialising in the field of industrial measuring techniques. It was a good decision! Quality service and expertise led to ever increasing business. Ultimately tiring of working out of other people’s properties, Mr Allard decided that he would like his own building. For a "turn-key" solution, he went to see ASTRON Builder Wolf & Sofsky. Wolf & Sofsky are one of ASTRON’s first building partners. Now a leading and long-serving member of the ASTRON family, the company built its reputation on professionalism, providing excellent technical and architectural advices with an innovative flair. So it was that this German Builder was called upon to build the 800 m² project in St. Ingbert for Mr Allard. The reception area and offices are accommodated in the front of the building while the laboratory, with its accredited measuring rooms, is located in the rear. The building is clad with sandwich panels and has a 200mm double-skin roof with a PR AZA outer skin. Although not large, the building has a sophisticated entrance and features an unusual roof extension supported by castellated rafters; a design feature published in ASTRON’s Data Sheets: Architectural canopy. |
