Builder Hervé builds an ecologically friendly printing facility

Martinenq, a family printing house renowned for its high technology and specialising in the luxury end of the printed paper market, decided to expand its facilities in Lieusaint (France). Modern in outlook, the company rightly decided that its new manufacturing unit should respect the environment.

French Builder Hervé undertook the project, a not inconsiderable task in that the customer wanted an attractive building that would meet all its technical specifications while respecting its wish to be "ecological friendly". It took only 8 months to complete the 3200 m² workshop with its 900 m² of offices on 2 floors, much to the satisfaction of the customer. Not content with demanding a project that respected the environment, Martineng decided to construct a "clean" building that incorporated the use of renewable energy and included a system of waste recycling. Builder Hervé’s expertise and experience of the ASTRON system enabled it to develop the technical solutions necessary to meet this demanding specification. The company provided its printing house customer not only with a building that was ecologically friendly but also was able to accommodate a "hi-tech" 10 colour printing process that is unique in France. With the completion of these buildings, the Martinenq printing company was awarded the "Imprime Vert" of the Ille de France for 2004. Martinenq was so pleased with the project that the company has decided to double the area of its facilities in 2007 and ASTRON, once again, will be involved in the construction.
