Never change a winning TeamFor the second time, Builder Nancy Construction from Heillecourt in France, has created an extraordinary ASTRON structure for its customer Novasep. This splendid Multi-Storey Building is located in Pompey (F). It is similar to a previous project which was elected ASTRON Building of the Year in 2002. And, just like in 2002, the same actors were involved: ASTRON for the supply of the building and statics, Nancy Construction as the building company and Claude Schlegel, the architect who was responsible for the creation of the previous building. Novasep is a technology-driven company providing global solutions for the large-scale production of pharmaceutical ingredients. The company had earlier, in 2002, ordered a 2.900 m² three floor headquarters ASTRON building with a 1.400 m² production area. This time, the company needed a new building for its facilities located on the same site in Pompey (F). Since the customer was very satisfied with the execution and service for the previous buildings, there was no doubt to call upon, once again, Nancy Construction, architect Claude Schlegel and the ASTRON building system. This gorgeous 4-storey building of 1.487 m² ground surface area, impresses by its simple, striking appearance. Silver and glass are the dominant elements of the façade: the finely corrugated PFLAUM panels, fixed with hidden vertical joints, plus the silicone glazed curtain wall elements form a smooth, monolithic, integrated whole. Despite extremely bad weather conditions, causing an interruption to construction of one month, the complete building was finished between October 2004 and June 2005, while the erection time for the building itself was only 1.5 months. |
