International ASTRON Builder Conference, April 14 – 15, 2005It’s more than 10 years since ASTRON organized its last international Builder conference. Since then, real friendships as well as business relationships, have been established between many Builders, so these meetings are very welcome opportunities to renew old acquaintances. The participation in our Europe-wide Builder conference in Dubrovnik on the Adriatic coast of Croatia was accordingly high! About 400 delegates met from April 14 through 15 to participate in some 17 presentations given by ASTRON employees and guest speakers; as well as to renew old friendships and to forge new ones! It’s more than 10 years since ASTRON organized its last international Builder conference. Through the entire program in two languages. David Brodetsky, ASTRON Managing Director, was the first speaker and presented ASTRON’s strategies and goals for the coming years. The subjects covered by the subsequent 17 presentations were widespread: • How will the Markets develop in the coming years? • What are the advances in ASTRON production? • What is new in engineering? • What are ASTRON‘s plans for sales support? • What is the newly launched "ASTRON flexibility"? • What precisely does the often mentioned ASTRON "Synergy" really mean? And, by no means least: • What kind of innovative features will the new CYPRION 7.1 offer? It was rewarding that all participants followed the presentations keenly, often posing many questions during the breaks. Not surprising, the new CYPRION 7.1 was one of the "hits of the show". A new module for ASTRONET, another for the calculation of lighting in the building interior, and – lastly, but by no means, least – the development and pricing of multi-storey buildings within CYPRION that provides a tool with which our Builder partners will stay one step ahead of the competition. During coffee breaks, many attendees met in the hotel lounge over a cup of coffee and snacks, while others preferred the agreeable 20° temperature on the terrace with its view over the sea to the town of Dubrovnik: a fittingly beautiful backdrop for the lively conversations about the subjects just presented. |
