ASTRON - European news - 28 February 2005
Rubrica NavesAlbanian company Mezura’s executives are regular visitors to Castellón (Spain), the heart of the ceramic producing area of the Iberian Peninsula, for the supply of terracotta and tiles to its native Albania. After visiting the premises of several of its suppliers, and having listened to their recommendations, Mezura met with Builder Rubrica Naves Metàlicas and placed an order for an ASTRON building for a new sales and storage outlet in Tirana (Albania). Rubrica’s ability to manage and co-ordinate all the steps of the project, the one-source supply and the availability of the Builder’s highly skilled and experienced erection team, which traveled to Tirana for the project, were decisive factors in awarding the contract for the 2.051 m² building to the Spanish Builder. Rubrica’s erection team had to perform something of a minor miracle to complete the building. Albania did not have any crane suitable for the job so Rubrica Naves Metàlicas finally had to make do with the single fire engine of nearby Tirana that had a limited but usable lifting capability to erect the building! Nevertheless, only 2 months after the job started, Mezura was able to start working in its new premises. The attractive modern aspect of the building’s wall panels contrasts starkly with the majority of industrial/retail buildings in Albania. |
