ASTRON - European news - 11 October 2004
A satisfied customer!Wellpappen Fabrik (WFG) specializes in the development and manufacturing of cardboard packaging. In 2001, this company entrusted ASTRON with the construction of an 8.000 m² building in Bad Soden-Salmünster (Germany). Thanks to the close co-operation between the architect, Mr. Weinel, and ASTRON, in which both sides worked together to adapt the project to meet the demands of the customer, the project was a great success. Following a period of growth and with a desire to improve its logistics, WGF once again entrusted ASTRON and the same architect to construct a second building, this time of 3 200 m². By using the most appropriate materials and finishes, optimizing the use of internal volumes and areas, and by incorporating a highly attractive architectural personalization, ASTRON and the architect provided WFG with a very striking yet economical turnkey construction. Seven weeks after the opening of the construction site and well within the delivery period specified in the contract, the new production and logistics center was ready! WFG was, naturally, highly satisfied. Today the complex, which is used mainly for production and receiving/shipping of goods, covers 15.000 m², including a 1.000 m² office area on two floors. The PA-wall features colour-coated aluminium-windows, in a striking yellow orange combination, the clients corporate colour. Ideally located near to the motorway connecting Hanau and Fulda, the new WFG building is a real eye-catcher thanks to its striking and well-proportioned architecture. This good experience encouraged architect Weinel to create his own company, known as Büdinger Hallen-und Bausysteme GmbH, and with it to join the ASTRON Builders Network. |
