A quality, highly insulated and tailor-made building for Unilac Holland

Unilac Holland B.V, is a trading company that exports a wide range of natural cheeses, such as Edam, Gouda, Cheddar, etc, and other dairy products, to many different countries. Over the years, as the scope of its products extended and as the company continued to expand its activities, the wish for its own "tailor-made" building grew more and more intense. Ultimately, Unilac decided to build new premises in the Ittervoort industrial zone in Limburg (The Netherlands).

Unilac Holland B.V. has always been a quality-orientated company. The company needed a modern and tailor-made building in order to ensure that its demands for quality could be respected throughout its operations. Unilac contracted ASTRON Builder Habu, another company well known for its professionalism and the quality of the projects it has constructed. The building is equipped with an internal loading platform for 2 trucks. The warehouse, which includes a 200 m² cold store, has high insulation specifications to guard against energy losses and condensation; The walls are clad with 100 mm thick sandwich panels and to avoid any problems with condensation, the client chose a MULTITEC built-up roof with an insulation thickness 130 mm, giving an installed "U" value 0.19 W/(m²•K). The 960 m² building, which was constructed on a turnkey basis, is not only functional and ergonomic, but also blends in well with the adjacent office building.
