ASTRON - European news - 10 May 2004

Testimony:

British Builder Directline Construction Ltd recently completed this 450 m² building for Claremont School in St. Leonards-on-Sea (Great Britain). The building is supported on extended steel columns and beams to overcome the steep hill-side location. It is used for assemblies, lunches and shows. The timber wall panelling was a requirement of the planning authority. It is fixed to ASTRON PR profiled wall cladding.

Mark Beaumont, the principal, was highly satisfied with Builder Directline Construction’s, know-how and said to Directline Construction: " Now that we are up and running in our new hall, I would like to express my immense thanks for managing this project in a most efficient and professional manner. Despite the fact that the building project took place immediately adjacent to the school, children were never in any danger and courses were not interrupted. As you may be aware, the entire project was cheaper than any of your competitors and better meets our needs. The children are now making full use of the building. Despite being a metal-framed building the acoustics are outstanding. I did have some reservations about moving from traditional construction to steel frame. The internal materials that you have used (PG perforated inside sheeting) have obviously been designed for the purpose and the building behaves acoustically like any other building." Putting customer satisfaction at the top of its priorities has been Directline Construction’s key to success, as demonstrated by this testimonial.
